So I was backing out of my dads driveway last night then I heard clunk and thought I had bottomed out. When I got out to look if I hit my mufflers, I saw a rubber bushing with a bolt sticking out of it on the ground. The other side of it looks like it has snapped off. I will try to get some pics later. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some insight.

I had the same symptom. It was really bad. Like a hammer hitting the firewall. I had to back up very easy. I cant tell you exactly what fixed it cause I changed both MM and new ASFB. The rear MM was completly separated and the rear SFB were toast. My guess would be the rear MM.

What size is that nut? I don't remember the size and pitch but if it takes a 19mm wrench then its the rear strut rod that has broken. The strut rod is what locates the rear knuckle fore and aft. If that is in fact part of the strut rod I would recommend not driving the car until its replaced!

Comon' guys. Strut rod? Motor mount? Really?

It's most definitely a stabilizer end link.
