Had a very slight "surge" at mid-range RPMs under load on my totally stock 2016 - at only 14K miles. Didn't really think anything of it, it was intermittent, and very slight. I figured I'd bring it to the dealer for something at some point and have them look at it.

Bought an air cleaner the other day, figured while I was doing that, I'd clean the MAP sensors. I usually clean the MAF sensors on my other vehicles every time I change the oil.

After cleaning the MAP sensors, the surge is gone, and the mid-to-high-range power is even better than it was when I got it with only 100 miles on it (my dealer salesman personally drive into Upstate NY to pick it up from another dealer for me).

They both looked like they had a sheen of clean oil, but the fact that it seems to have a little more power than stock means they were oily from the factory? Something get on the element in manufacturing? The oil they use to grease the rubber o-ring or something? Who knows...

Fact remains, don't neglect them. They are easy to clean, so why not?

Make sure the brake cleaner is CFC free.

But really should use MAF Sensor Cleaner on electrical parts.
