Chrome slicers???1994's??

Does anybody know the official "deal" with the chrome slicers? I've seen them a few times here in Utah on a couple of green SHO's, but I'm puzzled as to what they are. Part of an option package from Ford, or has someone chromed the regular slicers? I've also seen a few on ebay that are deteriorating a lot. I think they look awesome when at their full shine.
Just curious, any thoughts appreciated!

Ya,i asked about some for my car, You should do a search on it. I think some people chromed them themselfs, and some were chromed at the dealership. The only problem i heard of was that the center cap is plastic, doesnt take to well to chrome.

If you want a slicer that is completely chrome, take it to a shop but for the centercap, go get some off a 4 cylinder mustang. They are metal and fit up perfectly.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling they were chromed aftermarket. I wonder what it runs to chrome wheels.

Cost me $760 to chrome mine .
the guy did a good job on the center cap
putting on sho stickers to make it look original.

I was quoted $100 per wheel by a place in vermont. I think that is if you do all the prep work yourself.

The place i got them from recieved a chromed set from california , and put them on , then sent my original set back . No down time ....
