The 93 ATX is giving me a check engine light intermittently after a recent motor steam clean. I'm guessing one of the sesors is off wack. Any hints on which one. My guess is it will subside after some driving. However, its still something to consider. Thanks.

Check the codes. I'm presuming your 'steam clean' was done with water under pressure which is never a good idea. Good chance you ruined one or more sensors which reading the codes will tell you. http://www.dalidesign.com/hbook/eectest.html You should also pull each plug wire and make sure there isn't any water/oil/soap, etc. in the plug wells.

I have a similar problem with a 93 SHO that Im looking at. It'll blink the CE light and die on me. It does it once in a while but the codes are fine on it. Would a sensor make the computer **** the engine like that?

The gear position sensor (a Y shaped device) and the connector going into the top of the tranny are suspect. Hose them down with WD 40.
