Started the car this morning and went to work and noticed the check engine light went off. I only have 43k miles on it (2011 non pp.) Any idea how to check what's going on? I'm running Livernois tune 3 bar 93 Oct. Can I use the mycal tuner and how?

Plug your MyCal tuner into the OBDii port and let it run through the startup process. It will automatically check for Diagnostic trouble Codes.

Thanks Livernois! Plugged it in just a few minutes ago and got DTC P2196 and P2198. Anyone else have these come up? I'm trying to research and finding o2 sensor problems. I really don't think the warranty will cover this from Carmax lol. I can already hear my wife complaining...please help!

Emissions coverage is 80,000 miles at least. Look for Ford's warranty document online for your model year. For example, 2013:
http://www.ford.com/resources/ford/general/pdf/2013Warranty.pdf

A/F feedback sensors are covered (pg 20).

As to the reason behind the codes ...
http://www.obd-codes.com/p2196
http://www.obd-codes.com/p2198

Bank 2 Sensor 1 can often malfunction if an oil/filter change is not done carefully. This is on the radiator side of the engine, so relatively easy to spot. Take a look to see if the sensor & wiring are clean. But replacement is the usual outcome. Since there are no other codes ...

Thanks for the info. I read the first link for Ford warranty coverage and it states that any modifications done to the intake or exhaust would not be covered. Gonna call my ford dealer to see what they say...fingers crossed

Return your car to stock tune & 2 bar MAP before you take it in (standard operating procedure). TStat can remain in place. If they ask about a reflash or anything, just say you disconnected the battery due to weird stuff with your stereo/Sync, to try and fix that. Normally they won't ask anything like that tho.

Do you have downpipes installed? Catback? I don't see a sig in your profile, so don't know your mods ...

Regardless, they can't turn down coverage just based on having downpipes & catback. There has to be a material problem proven to be caused by those components first.

Very simple. Mention nothing other than the code. Dont kick a sleeping dog. I had same issue. 2011 pp. Covered no questions asked. This was after I had custom exhaust done and the welding fried one of the sensors due tobshorting it out.

Have you put any fuel additives into your car? That is one of the possible causes of those coeds.

No additives to the car at all. I started it this morning and the check engine light is gone! It's strange because I did not clear the DTC after I plugged in the mycal tuner. I will update if it comes back which I'm sure it will.

If there were no additives then the next common culprit is a loose boost or vacuum line.
