check engine light occasionally

While driving my check engine light will come on for a minute then go back out. there are no codes or anything. What might it be?

It might be your O2 sensors...
when does it happen, after a 3/4, or full throttle? or just driving around...

mostly just after driving 5 minutes or so it comes on. I was thinking the O2 Sensers also sense my last motor was running rich.

99.9% of the time, if the CEL comes on, then goes off, comes on, etc. while driving (usually after giving it gas, then letting off), it's one or both of the O2 sensors.

I drove for the on-off-on-off CEL for many months, knowing full well it was my O2's. Car had been getting horrible gas mileage, and since they were original, i finally got around to changing them.

Bought the Bosch units from autozone, they were about 50 bucks a pop (need 2). About an hour under the car with it on stands and i had the new ones in. The rear one on my ATX was kinda hard to get off. Ended up getting a universal joint for my ratched as well as a 10 in extension (the O2 socket seemed like a necessity for me as well).

No more CEL, mucho better gas mileage...car even seems to be running cooler.
