Check engine light after 60 mph

Guys, I have a 93 ATX SHO with 115K on the clock. The car runs real good except for the check engine light coming on after 60mph. It never fails, you can drive at 55 mph and never see it, but go 60 mph and it'll come on within a minute. Any idea what is causing this? I have changed the O2 sensor and it still does it. Thanks for the help!

Your first post! Welcome. You'll find a lot of help here. You need to check the codes for your CEL problem. If you've never done this before, I found this link very helpful:

There are others too if you do a search of this forum. It's really easy to do. Let us know what codes you find and we'll go from there.

Yes please check your codes. If the CEL comes on then the computer has a code telling you why. You can either get the detailed shotimes.com or you can buy a $19 code reader from any auto parts store.

There can be more than a dozen reasons for the light i.e. egr insuffeciant flow. TPS votlge out of limits and the list goes on.

Or just go to AutoZone, they will read the codes for you.

Of course, then you won't learn how to read them yourself.......
