I've been taking a gander for places that either have my rare 6-bolt pattern on the Cadillac or will make custom wheels. I had purchased a set of 19" Centerlines that took too long to make for the Convention in Madison and Toolman eventually scarfed them up.

Anyway, taking a look at their website and I found these Taurus wheel deals....Sorry Tim!!

Oh man. So tempting.
Are the ones you ordered/on Tims car the Black Pearl finish? How dark is that finish exactly?

I thought I had heard about these wheels being kind of weak, did that ever amount to anything, or was it just a rare occurance?

When I bought my 17" RPM's, the website said they were rated at 1200lbs each. Now it says 1100lbs each so maybe there is something to the rumor that has been floating around. 1200lbs was pushing it and 1100lbs isn't going to cut it on a full weight SHO.

I know someone who had the RPMs but had one fail. It's been so long since I've seen him here, I forget his name. But any other time and I'd remember. I believe that was explained to him as a casting failure that caused a hairline crack and was fixed.

Tim has the 19" RPMs. I never saw them personally, but Tim had just posted pics of them on another thread. They're very light and the only downside would be the short sidewall which would stiffen the ride up a bit. But weight and offset-wise, they are fine.

Any Forged Centerline wheel with a center cap that covers the lug nuts can be drilled for any bolt pattern. Just a little tidbit I found out when looking for wheels for my T-Bird.

Only Cobra replica rims originally made for the thunderbird since we share the same bolt pattern. But unless you got a set drilled for our bolt pattern, no.

I don't believe Black Pearl is very dark. It looks like a dark grey.

Fred, thanks. I can't believe I could ever forget Kaotic!!!

"KaoticSHO" is who you're thinking of, most likely.

Anyone heard from him lately? I wonder if he still has his SHO and what's all running in there these days.

I haven't heard from him for quite some time and he missed the convention. Life's responsibilities probably kept him from attending and have kept him away from the forum lately but I seriously doubt he got rid of his SHOs. He loves the car. Maybe some of the texas folks have heard from him recently.
