So I got a new Knuckle because on my current one where the ball joint slides in is all worn out and the ball joint slops around. Anyways, i had my buddy pick one up for me at the junkyard cuz i was at work. i told them a 93' taurus w/ abs and the gave him the new one and i thought it looked right until i looked at my current one. The one from the junk yard seems to not have any type of caliper bracket. Here are some pics i took, do i have the wrong knuckle...

Here is my current knuckle..

Yup thats a 94-95 knuckle, if the calipers and brackets are the same for all years, I would say you would be best off getting a 94-95 for the other side. There are MANY more brake upgrades for the 94-95 knuckles! But then, I REALLY dont know if the calipers/brackets are the same. For some reason I doubt they are.

No, the calipers/brackets arent the same. I am selling my car so i really am not to Keen (sp?) on sticking more $$ money into it. Just need to fix it. Plus all the brakes up front are in REALLY good condition and pads are new.

Pre '94 did not have "brackets". The "bracket" is intergrated into knuckle for the earlier years.

The pre '94 SHO has a one piece caliper system, it really didn't have any brackets. The outer brake pad clips onto the caliper. Does that knuckle have the abs tab in the back?

People here are typically getting rid of the smaller brake system, ask around.
