Hi! OK, just had a SHO Source equal length Y-pipe with cats and a SHO Source catback system installed. Prior to this my 89 SHO had a rusted aftermarket Y-pipe with rusted cats and a single exhaust pipe... Wanted a more original look and feel.

Kudos on the SHO Source customer service, by the way!

So, before, the acceleration to 4000 rpm was tepid, but you could really feel it open up at 4000. Now, the acceleration - especially in 1st - up to 4000 is much better, but it seems to just keep going without opening up. There is no bang! at 4000 rpm.

Is there an adjustment that needs to be made???

Thanks, Mike

Check to make sure that your secondary butterflies are working.

Have someone start the car while you are looking at the intake. The secondaries are open when the car is off and when started they will snap shut.

Near the middle of butterflies, there is a small lever that will be almost horizontal when the car is off. After you start the car, the lever will move to the vertical position. Make sure both butterflies levers are vertical. You can even move them by hand when the car is off.
