I just wanted to see if anyone has ever even heard of this company or used their products. I used to run it in my 400hp small block chevy, without any problems. The salesman in my area used to bring diesel additive in for us to sell at napa, and occasionally oil. I talked with him many times about his oil, he was passionate about it. If I remember correctly they used it in very high end race engines, maybe even formula one. Supposably the paraffin that comes out of the ground is so pure it's used in medicine also. He personally saw what it was capable of in very high performance engines. He had some very interesting stories, and I found him to be honest. This also wasn't his main source of income. I never saw the data on the oil, but he did show me data on comparisons of their diesel additive. It also had a patent. They offer their oil with or without zinc additives for those without cats. I'm just wondering if i'd be making a mistake running a paraffin based oil in the SHO. For now i'm using Castrol GTX. thanks

I think Mobil 1 works just fine. Royal Purple (RP) if you're really passionate about it. Some would recommend Amsoil (Don?). I think any more than that and you're kinda just wasting money...

He charged me 30 dollars for two gallons so the price wasn't bad at all.

$3.75 per quart? Shit, that's cheaper than GTX is! I'd take any oil for that cheap! (ok, not any oil, but you get the point)

I'm not sure where that oil is made, but if you do a Google search on oils for current Mercedes and BMW engines, you'll find that there are some very expensive and exotic oils formulated for those engines that meet specs Mobil 1 and others do not. I found that interesting, but not enough so to quit using Castrol GTX in my engine.
