Okay, i've searched the forum and read about 50 posts most of them dealing with code 332 which i haven't gotten, i will get with my mechanic tomorrow and see which ones he pulled about a week ago. I had the timing belts, cps, cid, and rear main seal + cam seals replaced and one o2 sensor. I replaced the front one about a year ago. The codes I pulled tonight, koeo. My car surges at highway speeds, sometimes 20-30 mph idles rough sometimes. This has all happened since the work was done, i took it back and they cleaned the maf and reset the kam. I'm supposed to go back wednesday, but would like to know what i should do. Try cleaning the egr "nostrils" and iab, or buy a new dpfe sensor, which i dont know what it stands for, but i assume it is the pressure sensor for the egr? I appreciate any insight and thanks in advance.

Why did you have your tranny out to have the rear main seal done? I'm guessing that you mean you had the front main seal replaced. Anyways check out the voltage outputs of the TPS (throttle position sensor). Kinda sounds weird though since it all started happening since you had the work done.

Sorry, I meant crank seal, it was 1 a.m. and i was tired. I had the transmission rebuilt about a year ago. I will check the voltages of the tps, thank you.

Sounds like you have an EGR system problem that is causing a vacuum leak to the rear bank and EGR feedback problems. Something was broken or left undone. Check the 2-bolt ****** on the EGR tube mount on the rear bank exhaust manifold, the tube, the rubber hoses to the PFE sensor (sliver box on rear intake plenum), the vacuum tubes from the intake and into the EGR valve and the electrical connector to the PFE box.

Okay, they say all the hoses and connections are good, they looked good to me, but i really cant be the judge of that. They said the dpfe sensor and the egr solenoid are bad. They concluded this by doing some tests with the vacuum pump and i geuss some machine that shows the codes and what the engines doing in real time. What are these parts called when i do a search at say www.autozone.com? Is it going to be difficult for me to replace them, or should i have them do it? I'm mechanicly and electronicly inclined, just not with SHO's. Guess because I didnt want to make anything worse. Is it possible this is a coincedence that these went out, or could it be something else?

Sorry about the double post, well i orded the dpfe sensor, O'reilly had the least expensive and a limited lifetime warranty. plus they could have it the next day, i didnt know the name of what the mechanic called the egr solenoid, so i emailed fordpartsnetwork to see if their prices were better and to see if they knew the name of the egr part on the passenger side firewall under the shield that holds the eec test connectors. they said it was the egr valve, so i gave orielly's the part number and i picked them up today. The egr valve appears to be the one that connects on the engine not the firewall. My chiltons (yes i know it sucks) and they say to replace the seal (gasket) but the new one didnt come with one. should i use the old one or order another? Does anyone know the part# or name for the part on the firewall?? Should i wait to replace the egr valve? Thanks for any help.
