Hello guys. Just bought a 94 SHO and have what seems to be a pretty common problem. The CEL comes on intermittently while driving, but only after its nice and warm. I pulled the codes, and got a 172, 176, and 327. I know that the first two are for O2 sensors on the front bank, so that's no problem.

I see that 327 is the "DPFE output below self test minimum. Either the DPFE is unplugged, it's output is shorted to ground, or the sensor has failed". What exactly is the DPFE? Where is it? What does it do?

If anyone knows, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Little rectagualr box mounted to the back of the intake on the drivers side next to the EGR valve. It has two small rubber hose that come out the bottom and connect to the EGR manifold and one electrical connector.
