CEL and 538, 536.

Getting 536 and 538 w/KOER and 111 w/KOEO. I know what these are, but that's all I get. My CEL comes on after driving for a bit, but it doesn't seem like anything is wrong. The car runs the exact same whether it's on or off. Do I just need a reset?

536 - Brake On Off open or shorted to ground

538 - System did not receive "goose" test

You didn't do the test properly by depressing the brake pedal so it senses that the BOO works, and you did not goose the throttle during the test.

Check to see if your brake lights work, if so your car is fine.

Yeah, the lights work fine. I wouldn't say the car is fine. I'm now getting intermediate hard starts now. My car is weird, it'll work fine for a while, and then start acting up....seems if I just let it go, it'll start working fine again. I'm thinking my DIS may be on it's way out. CPK was replaced (read 2 weeks ago) recently.

other area's too look at may be the CID or IAC (idle air control valve on the intake)..my IAC has gotten so fouled up lately that my car will often stall after it starts (gotta crank for a little while)..and after it stalls, then it REALLY doesnt want to fire back up...it also surges slightly with a light throttle pressure.

This weekend i'm going to clean or replace my IAC, hopefully O2's, and most likely clean my MAF..hopefully get this thing smoothed out..

I bet your cam sensor may be gonig out or more likely your fuel pump check valve is going.

Ran again and got a 412 (idle speed to low). TPS, IAC?
