Hey guys, i posted a heating up issue that i am having with my 93 mtx! still having problems. i got to looking and my ccrm in my 93 is a J......shouldn't that be a M? my 89 has an M so i traded them out and still nothing. my J will run the relays in my 93 but not in my 89 so i was wondering if all the ccrm M's are compatible on the mtx's...from gen 1 to 2...

I can not answer your question 100%. However, I do know that when I have had to replace one of mine ( on a past SHO. ) There were different ones. I know that I swapped out my 93 on my past 91 and did not work. However, the 93 was a working unit.

If his car is a 93 mtx, then why does it have a J model in it? I wonder if that's the whole problem??

Because whom ever the parts counter dweeb was that sold it to the person that installed it. They most likely didn't check to see if there was a difference between the ATX and MTX.

I'm pretty sure that's your problem.

It could be a bad fan, or a bad battery, or ....

Can you give us more details on what it is doing?

Also, check the battery, battery cables, and connectors to make sure you don't have a problem there. A bad ground can cause a gremlin also.

okay here i go! my car is getting hot and the fan is not coming on....i got to looking and i realized that i had a J ccrm which had to be a mistake from the previous owner...but for the past few years that i have had the sho i have been able to hit the max ac and get my fan to operate...last summer i was in traffic and i noticed that my car was getting hot so i hit max ac, but no fan came on, my car just became hotter, so i hit the interstate to cool it down...so now i can't get my fan to run at all! after finding out that i should have a M ccrm i changed mine with my brothers and my fan came on but like it was on low...not fast enough to sufficiently cool the car...so i took the ccrm out of my 89 which is also an M and it worked great in my brothers 92 but i can't get anything in my 93....so i put my bro's back in my 93 and now i get nothing at all.....please help......all of these cars are mtx's

Have you had anything weird happen to the heating or cooling system other than the fan not working?
