I have had a lopey idle, a cam seal oil leak, and an EGR code.
So I took off the EGR and cleaned it good. Took some Valvoline synpower throttle body cleaner and cleaned the **** out of the TB. While cleaning I noticed the hole nearest to the filter side of the throttle body was pretty gobbed off with oil and other filth muck. So I cleaned it out really good and reassembled everything.
I started the car and shot some more Synpower in the TB until the engine choked itself out. I left it for 30 mins or so and then went back. Of course it took it a few cranks to start, but the it did and the idle was high.
I took it for a ride, still idleing high, but I ran it hard a few times and the oil leak that I had, was no more...was my crankcase getting pressurized because the vent was to reistricted or closed ? and it was venting by blowing it past the seals ?
In the past I have had to reset the idle a couple of times due to the up/down thing.
Think I'm cured ?
All kinds of crud ran out of the intake when I layed the cleaner to it.
