I just bought a highly modified 93 sho area any downfalls to running a cat less y-pipe?

You can download a complete list of the cars mods here

Thanks

Are saying the catless setup has a fire risk?

Thank

Lee

He is implying that FPS does not have the best reputation around here. Don't worry about it.

A Catless Y-Pipe will sound like shit, otherwise there are not real dangers, risks or drawbacks, besides not being able to pass a visual inspection in NC. I'm also curious about your custom gear ratio...sounds to me like somone was pulling your chain on that one.

Sam they don't always make the car sound bad :p. But most of the time they do. If you have no emissions and can risk a visual inspection go for it.

i was curious on this topic as well. Seeing as how i have to redo the whole exhaust - im curious as to what will bring the most performance, what will sound the greatest, and what the easiest to run is.

If your wanting good sound just stick with the cats. Its pretty hard to get a catless exhaust to sound good, most are very raspy. Some people also complain about a loss in low end tq with out the cats. And the SHO needs all the low end tq it can get.

i will try to get a sound clip of the car going 0-60 so you can hear it without the cats the setup on it sounds great.

I was told 1st gear was setup for better take offs and the car does take off fast off the line unlike the sho's i have owned i have 8 over the years 5 sticks 3 autos . I might have got lied to but I so did he as I got reciept on everything done to the car.

Those are not Stage 3 brakes you have.

It would be interesting to see pictures of the MAF and TB.

Dynomax does not make a catless y-pipe. Do you have pictures?

The 93 has a rod shifter stock so it really isn't an upgrade.

The Superchip doesn't add 25hp.
