Yeah I am aware of bpd's situation, but I also think 5 years for a record setting car isn't terrible. Though the machining of that engine shouldn't have passed QC.

Is there anyone else that builds closed decks and is familiar with our engines?

UPDATE:
The transmission failure was from a 1 way clutch/gear failure and I subsequently burned the clutch pack trying to get the car out of the intersection. Aftermarket warranty should cover it once I submit my maintanence records, which I have to obtain a couple of the missing ones from the shops I have had maintain it. Just had a transmission flush 6k miles ago. Pictures attached.

I also got to look at my rear turbo, turbo shaft has a tiny bit of back and forth play but nothing side to side and bearing seems perfectly fine. So i don't have to worry about that. Front turbo doesn't have any signs of leaking but the intake hasn't been pulled off of it to check it out.

There are a number of threads with LMS issues prior to BPD's. And yes, regardless of what you think actually killed it if you are okay with a shop that is okay with the machine work in BPD's build I have no other words for you.

Warranty company shipped a used transmission to the dealership, so the transmission is getting covered. No word on the power steering yet.

Update:

Shop has replaced the transmission, transmission cooler (is this also the radiator or are they separate?), and steering rack. The warranty company is paying for everything but the transmission cooler, diagnostics, and the fluids. My bill out of this will be about $700 out of a ~$4675 total.

If you have a p.p. there is a cooler integral to the condenser and a separate oil to air cooler tied into the cooler lines.

Non p.p. just have the cooler integral to the condenser.

I have a non-pp, do you mean radiator or actual A/C condenser?

A guy who worked with me had a 13’ and a few times the “global window” feature or whatever it is called would put the windows down while he was driving. Never heard anyone else with that issue and never seen it on his.

Update:

Power steering rack and transmission have been replaced. Power steering is a reman and the transmission is used with 70k miles on it. The car drives better than it ever has since my possession, time to mod!

Got my HP tuner kit in, time to tinker.
