So how big is the difference in loudness without the Converters as to having them?

Well my y-pipe that I have now is catless but thanks to the front ****** not aligning with the manifold, I have a pretty big exhaust leak. Therefore, I really can't tell ya how much of a difference there is.

There was a noticeable increase in exhaust noise on my Mustang GT when I went to a catless midpipe though.

But was it the "Good" noticeable increase or the "Annoying" increase? I want to get a new Y-Pipe but pondering on whether to cat or not to cat.

In the Stang, i felt it was a nice balance between power and loudness. For reference, this was with the window down, my off-road x pipe installed, and 2 Turbo Bullet resonators for mufflers. http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b339/LJRuddy/?action=view&current=MVI_0144.flv

Also, if i end up not liking the cat less set up on the SHO, I can get performance high flow cats on the cheap to just weld on there.

The Stang sounds good! When you install your Y on the SHO let me know what it sounds like.

I know it's loud sitting in the passenger seat while you pass people on the shoulder on I-435....
