So I am throwing a check engine light and I got it tested at work and it's a MAF code. I have replaced it twice and it's still throwing it. The other Tech. that helped me redetermine it was a MAF code couldn't find anything wrong with it. I was wondering if any of you had any idea what else could be the cause besides the MAF itself. TIA

Rough idle? hesitation?

Besides the C/E light , did you notice anything else?

It use to only happen after driving for a bit on the freeway. Now it's starting to happen in the city. SOMETIMES it feels a little slugish before the light comes on but not always. I'll keep my eyes are ears open and see if I can tell any other signs.

Did you clean the connector? Check and clean ALL your grounds(there is paint under them!) Get them down to bare metal. Is the clip broken on your MAF? Mine is, and it will come loose!(zip tied)... Try the easy, basic stuff first... It needs to be done anyway, and it's easier than pin tests and wiring diagrams.
