I have the drivers seat out of my 95 at the moment and plan to swap it back in (no need for Recaro SRD until race season). There is a tear in one of the bolster covers, which I was hoping to fix.

I have a spare passenger side upper seatback from the same year, same cloth/leather combo.

Was hoping to swap on this passenger seatback onto my drivers side lower, but it looks like the interior metal frame is different on the upper seatbacks (drivers vs passenger).

Is there an easy way to do this without completely disassembling both upper seatbacks and swaping frames? If not, what would it take to do this?

I get the impression that getting the skin off means dealing with hog rings and clips of various kinds . . .

J-clips on the bolsters, hog rings in the seat back and a zipper at the bottom. It's not terribly fun.
