Greetings all,
I think I need motor mounts. The motor rocks forward and bacward a lot more than I care to see, the intake has a black spot from the under side of the hood, and it loooks like the rear mount is squeezing pieces of rubber out.
to me, that all adds up to Extreme motor mounts.
So it looks fairly straight forward. But as far as difficulty, to what could I compare this? I understand that I have to jack the engine up a bit (by the oil pan and VERY CAREFULLY) but are there any other tricks to getting the old ones out or the new ones in? And probably most importantly, will I need any special tools?

I'm probably just making this seem harder than it actually is.

Thanks everybody.

No special tools, but you will have to disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator to remove the front mount.

And do not sweat using the oil pan as a jack point. It is so damn thick, I bet you could lift the entire front of the car off the ground using it alone, and not damage it.

Just use some wood between the oil pan and jack. Other than that its pretty streight forward.
