8FF97EA3 BDE6 494A 88C8 E2678558D885 Rpms bounce under part throttle idle isn’t rough and WOT doesn’t seem to suffer but part throttle it dies checked voltage to accelerator pedal and that was fine. Just making sure it is the crankshaft position sensor cuz it’s so stupid to change having. To disconnect the heater core hoses to get to it

Cam sensor or crank sensor? Your title and codes say cam, your message says crank. Either way, the manual I have doesn't mention anything about the heater hoses.

Am I missing something?

The title says Camshaft position sensor fail, the code says camshaft position actuator control, his message asks if it is the crankshaft position sensor. I asked for clarification if he he was asking about replacing the cam sensor or crank sensor. I also commented that my manual does not list removing the heater hoses for either sensor.

it's the VVT solenoid under the noisemaker delete on the valve cover. This is a circuit code, meaning the wiring is an open circuit. Check to make sure the wiring isn't cut. Seems to be happening frequently lately.

This could be the timing chain. I was throwing camshaft position errors and the actual reason was the timing chain had stretched past it's limits. A mere 3k and all is well..... hah. The Ecoboosts are not kind to the timing chains.

Timing chain stretch was an issue in mine too. The car would lurch at idle rolling away.... Then a slight coolant leak... so waterpump at the same time if that happens to be your issue. Ford says this is an issue on these cars with as little as even 20k miles. All the same location and unlike Mazuroo's 3k bill, I was able to get my parts from Ford and have a local mechanic fix it all for a grand total of $950.00
