I am looking to see if anybody has a complete list of supplies needed when doing a cam weld job. I had my '98 done by Kirk way back at the IL camfest. I never got a complete list of everything he did. The reason I ask this is I have a '96 arriving tomorrow and I'll have to open of the valve covers and see if it is welded or not. If not, I want to have a full list of needed parts. I have been searching v8sho.com but I am looking for all the info I can get.

Thus far I have listed the following: 8 spark plugs, 4 coil pack (rear bank), injector o-rings, valve cover gaskets, upper & lower intake gaskets and six cans of berryman 117 b-12 chemtool.

Anything I am missing or others would care to add would be much appreciated!

I would remove the injector O rings from your list. Black or grey silicone. 6qts of oil plus oil filter. electrical tape and friction tape comes handy at a cam weld job.

Speaking of o rings and injectors. Get a bottle of your favorite fuel injector cleaner and a spray paint can lid. Fill lid with cleaner, the injectors fit perfectly in a circle in the lid. Every day I came to the shop I would swirl it around and also drop some cleaner in the top of each injector. I used both seafoam and "blaster" injector cleaner to soak them. I'd like to think it was effective.
