I gots a question. I have replaced my Cam Positioning Sensor 3 times now in the past 3 months. Another Gen III owner had told me that his went out after he replaced his a few times. I was wondering if this is turning into the bad bad Cam Failure? Any answers would be appreciated....especially if you can tell me why it is doing this. Right now my SES IS on and because of the sensor. I am NOT paying anymore money right now to fix it once again.

Has the "tab" on the cam moved? Is the wiring to it OK?

What tab are you reffering to? All I did was undo the bolt take it off and put the new ones on. The plug itself is ok though.

The tab is on the cam in side the valve cover. Are you sure the plug wires are good. I would check it with a meter. There should be 12V on one wire and less than .05 ohms to ground on the other wire at the connector.

I will check the voltage either tonight or tomorrow morning. I HOPE that its not leading to a cam failure!!!!!!!!
