Hey guys...I lost 5th and rev the other day on my old 90mtx. The cable shifter is so squirely but i dont have the cash to fix it. Ive never fooled around with a cable shifter in my life. I did the 60k and some other stuff but thats about it. I was wondering what the procedure would be to fix this problem.

Thanks

Hmmm this sounds awfully familiar, what happens? I'm stuck in fourth and can't move the shifter

The cable shifter actually has two cables that work it. It sounds as though your crossover cable is shot. The cable is going to cost around $130 from a dealership. When you remove the center console, it would be the one on the right side.
