when I went to unlock the car today the drivers power door lock no longer works, and makes a loud buzzing noise, it reminds me of some of the old buzzers cars had for keys being left in the ignition, etc. All the other door locks work, as do the keypad, remote and both door buttons l&r.

So I am guessing the solenoid is gone bad, or is it just possibly stuck? Haven't investigated further, but figured I'd ask. Is it possible to do anything to get it working again so I don't have to remove it, the rivet and all is a pain.

Probably the solenoid unless part of the mechanism is causing drag.
Spray **** into the top of the solenoid and work it.
