Hi Fellas,
I know it probably has been asked over and over again but I just could not find the thread so here we go again ( no worries, its not the "what oils is best" question)
I am thinking about picking up a 2015 Taurus SHO, 96k miles on the clock.
What should I look out for, any weak points? At what mileage do the costly repairs come into play?
I am a total newbie in this field so any advice is much appreciated!

THANKS!

Drivetrain fluids. Make sure it shifts properly/ you can't notice any drivetrain issues.

Search for water pump on this forum and online and see what most are recommending as far as change intervals.. these can be more problematic with this engine and damage than most other designs.

Pull the codes and see what if anything comes up. In fact, I would have a tech give it a once over and scan the heck out of it and make sure it's good at first blush. No guarantees, but I always give the stink eye at vehicle sales just before the 100k mark. Is this a dealer? What's the warranty parameters? Does it expire at 5yr/100k?

Also, if you like it and it passes the sniff test, consider an extended warranty from a Ford warranty discount seller online. I would not normally recommend but this platform is twitchy.
