Do not use a petrolium based grease. I have used a silicone lubricant by the name Sil-Glide.

I use silcone as well. If you got to the ES website they have a special grease that they recommend---might be snake oil but I have yet to hear any complaints.

You have to use a marine grade silicone grease with the poly or TPR bushings. The only way to stop my 26mm RSB mount bushings from squeeking, was to clean and wrap the bar first with Teflon tape, then use the marine grade silicone grease. It's been blissfully quite for 5K to 6K miles now.

I second the marine grease. I use OMC marine grease. I don't use the teflon tape however. I've been noiseless for 4.5-5k now.
