ok I have a bunch of questions about tires:
1) Does anyone have a pic of a 50 series tire on a 16" rim mounted on a SHO (im debating between the 50 and 55 series and my car does have eibach springs so it should have less or a fender gap then stock)?

2) Has anybody rolled their quarters without adding any metal or bending up the inner lip? if so how did you do it and how big of a tire could you fit in ( i was looking to get a 245/50 or 55/16 in there and my rims have a 35mm offset and are 7.5 inches wide)?

3) What winter tires have you guys used and liked?

I want to get a wide tire but I think the 245 might be to wide for a 7.5 inch rim becasue If im not mistaken the 225 or 235 is the ideal tire for a 7.5 inch wide rim. And as far as the tire wall height I want it for handling and to lower the center of gravity a bit. But if the car looks bad with it then I dont want to do that. I was also thinking that a 50 series would not make it rub as much becasue its a smaller tire so correct me if im wrong. Sorry for the long post:thumb:

I think the definition of rolling a fender is bending up the inner lip. Any way here are some pics of 225/50/16 on a 16x7.5. This is on a gen 1. I had to cut my rear fender just to make sure it would rub. I cut the fender instead of rolling cause I was short on time. Even with tokicos and eibachs there is significant fender gap.

For street tires 55 series is the way to go.

ive got 225/55/16's in the front, and they are hard to mount, and i think they look a little funny on a stock suspension sho

ok i have 225/55/16's now and i like them i just want a little more meat so i think im going to go with 235/55/16's 55 seems to be the right height for the street and some autocross.

ok in the tires i want they dont have the 235 its eather a 225 or a 245. My question now is how much performance decrease will i see gogin from a 25.6 inch tire to a 26.6 inch tire. WIll i notice the heavier tire and also notice the slight gear reduction. Also will lifting the car up that half inch make the handling much worse?

I've run 205-50-16 on slicers, 215-55-16, and 225-60-16 all on slicers.

I liked the 205-50's best....... although I wouldn't mind trying a set of 225-50-16 just to see what happens for the **** of it. I just think 225 is a lil wide on a 6" wide wheel but to each their own.

i've never really seen a SHO on slicers that didn't have some sort of fender gap, even with intrax springs... I just think the wheel well is rather big on the SHO that prevents this look.... if you really wanted to close up fender gap and make it look more "slammed" I would run a taller tire on 18's with Intrax springs......
