I've looked around and only found OEM brakes or brake upgrades topics. in my experience some brands work better than others on different applications (i.e. every car I've ever owned burns off Napa brand brakes like they're made of foam) I planned to invest in some nice pads and fresh rotors next spring/summer but she's whining about it now so what are some brands to look for in terms of longevity and "stock level" performance, I don't need to put my wife through the windshield I just don't want chatter, squealing, or to have to replace them again in 6 months. Bosch? Raybestos? whos had good experiences with what?

also worth asking the difference between PP and non PP brakes, I have 20" wheels but after reading another thread I looked and have axle code 1 so I assume I have a non PP. that said most of the pads Ive found so far IF they specify at all only specify a difference between 19" and 20" wheels and rope the perf. pak in with the 20" wheel option. but most dont specify at all, just SHO vs everything else. is there a difference?

Personally, I have PowerStop drilled and slotted rotors with PowerStop Z37 pads. I see lots of people suggesting the FPIS/PP pads. The Z37 are PowerStop's version of police pads. My car is mainly a DD that is used spiritedly on occasion. I do not think that it is annoying when DDing the car but, it is there when I need it for spirited driving.

maxbrakes hi carbon rotors + ebc yellowstuff have been good to us on our 2010 f sport. powerstop pricing will probably beat it tho.

maxbrakes hi carbon rotors + ebc orangestuff is also highly recommended if available.

I havent replaced mine at ONLY 30K - so I am no help and havent explored it more yet. However @Ta2dResqr has said in many posts his powerstop PI pads are awesome - and knowing EBC pricing - powerstop is probably a good alternative. happy hunting
