So I did my clutch about 700 miles ago (CM stage I) along with the rear motor mount (OEM...please don't say "shoulda gone with reinforced", I did my homework and made a choice) as well as the lower control arms for the front. The good news is that I can now shift into reverse without turning the car off. HORRAY! The problem that I am experiencing though is not clutch related as far as I can tell.

Basically whenever I put my foot on the gas pedal, take it off the gas pedal, or make transitions while shifting the whole car bucks and it makes an audible squeaking sound. This can happen whether or not I am shifting. For instance if I am in 3rd and coasting and then apply a little gas, no matter how gently, it bucks and squeaks. This goes for any gear or when taking my foot off the pedal too.

My best guess is that It could be the tranny mount, because the front motor mount was fine when I checked it while doing the clutch. The tranny mount I wasnt so sure about, but my dad said it was fine so I took his word for it considering he is way more mechanically knowledgeable about cars then I could ever hope to be (although he has been wrong about this car a few times before  ). In any event what do you guys think it is? If its not a big problem then I'm inclined to "just drive it" like my dad says, but if it could be a problem that will get worse I would like to fix it before I go back to school. Thanks for your help.

Oh and on a completely different topic, there is a very occasional "woo woo woo" noise coming from the left front side of the car when I turn to the left. Initially, it happened much more frequently and since It went away when I applied the brakes, I replaced the rotors and pads on both sides and the noise all but went away. Its probably come back for a few minutes twice now in the past 400 miles since doing the brakes. Any ideas on either problem?

For the squeak, check to make sure the backing plate didn't bend in too close to the rotor. If it did, it could make an intermittent squeak. No clue on the bucking.

I didnt think of the backing plate, and that makes sense. Thanks rob. The squeaking is definately caused when the car bucks foward which is caused by I wish i knew. Maybe it has something to do with the TPS?
