I've noticed that say for example, I get on it at like 2500rpm in 2nd gear... it will sort of buck up until 4k rpm where it smooths out, but not completely, I can still get a bit of that same bucking or surging even at high rpm. My plugs and wires are all the originals... are these the culprit? The plugwells themselves are dry, if anybody was going to ask.

This can happen in any gear... even 1st, but it goes away quicker as the revs climb in 1st. I guess the best way I can put it... is the engine does not pull smoothly to redline like I know it should... it hesitates at points.

Try cleaning your IAB, instructions are on Sho times, really helped my surging and bad low end running, took about 45 minutes, so its worth a try, athough it did reveal how bad my front motor mount was :( I was thinking about changing my plugs and wires and i do have oil in the wells.

My car had those exact symptoms and the problem was either the MAF or the TPS. I replaced both at the same time and it ran perfectly. Try unplugging your MAF and see if it helps. Good Luck!

I had the same problem a few weeks ago, it was bad gas. As soon as I filled up with fresh gas, problem stopped. Probably not the problem, but you never know.
