im looking at a 91 im thinking of getting and the current owner says this is all thats wrong with her.....

"While driving, the car’s tachometer will drop to zero. The car will continue to run, but will buck and lurch its way down the street. At other times, the tachometer will drop to zero, and the car will continue to run as usual with no bucking or lurching. The car has died a couple of times while throwing one of its fits, but it always starts right back up. The car has gone weeks being driven without pitching a fit. Then out of the blue, it will lose it. To try to solve this problem I have replaced the main computer, the ignition module, and I have had a new alternator put on the car. All to no avail. "

i havnt had a chance to go check her out yet and wont till friday becasue its 2 hours from me.............anyone got any ideas what would cause this??????

You must be talking about that black '91 on ebay. I already sent an e-mail to the seller, telling them that it was the camshaft position sensor, before I saw this thread.
