I have a 90. What do I look for to see is this recall was done? Any other recalls to be aware of? Heard of maybe one other. Thanks....When I type in the vin via online ford, it says no outstanding recalls...
Unless they use salt on the roads in Hawaii when it snows, or your car originally came from or was registered in one of the listed states, then you don't fall into the recall parameters (or likely need it).

Only way to tell for 100% certainty is to pull up the carpet from the driver and passenger floorboards and look for the holes.

Updates?

What did you find out in calling the 800 number above?

Update-
Finally heard back from my local ford dealer. Ford is claiming the recall work was performed on my car in '99. One look at the floorboard will tell you it's not been done. He claimed the lady at Ford would not give him the information of the dealership that claimed the work. I give up.

Alright, final update. After a drawn out battle, I finally convinced Ford to let me take the car into a dealership for an inspection to prove that the recall work had not been performed. Took it in last Wednesday, at which point it was established that it hadn't been done. The service manager at the dealership had to jump through some hoops with the Ford bureaucracy to get the labor approved, so it took a few days to perform the work. I picked the car up just this Monday and everything is right as rain. It handles better, brakes better, etc. They did put a new bushing on the pass. side as the bushing and bolt were totally gone. I'm planning on replacing the other bushings myself in the next few weeks. Thanks again for the responses.

That's why we've been telling you, you have to be persistent . . . .

. . . . they're counting (their money) that you will initially get discouraged and simply go away . . . .

[looks for a "ka-ching" emoticon]

Glad to see you got it resolved.

Oh, and please, please, please, please - encourage and help others in the future that run into this same problem. :banghd:
