My '93 ATX SHO speedometer reads "0" at all speeds, and the odometer isn't rolling either. For once it's not a fast SHO! I took the dash appart, and the needle is free, but then so are all of the other needles! Should it be?

So, the question is ... What would be the normal fix? I'm going to assume that this isn't a connect the loose cable at the VSS for now, although at some point I'll look at that, but as you all know, though I've never been there on my ATX, the VSS is behind the Y pipe right? Not such a good place, hmmm?

Oh well, any thoughts? Thanks

Follow the speedo cable coming out of the firewall, there is a upper and lower cable once you remove the little clip you can pull them apart, then twist the inner part of the upper cable get someone to watch the speedo to see if it moves. It sounds like you have a cable broken, hard to say what one yet though.
