I'm having a problem.

I have a gen 3 and wanted to put gen 4 rims on it. So I did. No problems.

However, the rims I am putting on the gen 4 are 15" now, instead of 16".

Are the brakes between Taurus generations interchangable with no problems? Will it bolt right up? I'm talking about the front brakes. The caliper, the rotor, etc.

It seems weird because I had no idea the gen 3 front brakes were smaller than the gen 4...but the 15's on a gen 4 RUB LIKE CRAZY.

If any of you can help, please do. I really need your help.

Also...can anyone tell me ALL of the cars that have the same bolt pattern as the Taurus? If I can't get the changing of the brakes to work, I might just buy some really cheap rims off another car at Pick-a-Part. The only rims I know of that fit the Taurus bolt pattern is the Thunderbird. What others fit?

Thanks!!!

Year 2000 Tauruses did not come with SHO brakes, they came with standard SLO front brakes. 2001+ came with SHO size front brakes.
