On the 96' upgrade....
all your really doing by swapping knuckles, is extending the caliper out more, correct??? I dont think the offset changes, but if it does, do the knuckles change the offset?

ok if the answer to that is yes... couldnt you just fabricate a bracket that bolts to the 93'- under knuckles? Have it bolt to the knuckle were the caliper bolt bolts to, and then weld along, the egde, well, were you can....

wouldnt this work as well? i mean, as long as the brackets are designed well enough, and can hold the load effectivly, then i dont see what else could stop this....

just thought i throw that in to the grinder.....

EDIT: also... arent the 93's brakes 10.2 all the way around?? if so, could you use the front rotors on the rear? i mean with a bracket to offset the caliper? IIRC the rear have an offset...

In the 96 upgrade you go to the newer steering knuckles because the older knuckles have the peaces were the pads sit on that goes over the rotor and there for you cant go to a bigger rotor size. Just go to a junck yard and get some new knuckles i got both front knuckles and calipers for $80 i just put new wheel bearings and hubs on it and got new pads a rotors witch came to a total price of $350 but all of the parts i got were at cost not list price.

As for putting the front rotors on the front it wont work i have tried to see if it would and it wont. The 1993 rear rotors are solid and the front ones are vented. Just go back to the junck yard and get some calipers off the rear of a 89-91 SHO or taurus with four wheel disc.

Hmmm...You'd have to check the dimensions but you may be able to fabricate a bracket. I'm guessing if this were possible someone would have done it by now, though.

FWIW, the Baer 12.5" and TCE kits use pre-94 knuckles about the way that you described. The "ears" are cut off and the flat support areas for the ears are tapped to manage attachment of the caliper bracket. The details vary a bit from kit to kit, but it's not much different than what you're describing.

You may be right that the dimensions don't work out right for the 96 upgrade, but it might be worth fiddling around with if it's something you're interested in trying. That sort of fitment can be easily worked out on a bench.
