i need to get a couple new brake lines. the ones that run the whole car length. anybody know what size i need?

IIRC its 3/16". Not 100% sure though.

Sound 'bout right. Most vehicles use that size. If you're in a state that safety inspects, check to see if you can even use the compression fittings. MOst won't let you... "Supposedly" they will blow off or leak 
, I used to be a pipefitter and have used ALOT of different compression fittings on alot of different materials/applications. If you think you can get away with it use them. If not rent the double flare tool from AZ or similar. I had to do some on a Probe GT I had. The only compression fitting I used was where the floor rose up to the firewall and I couldn't get the tool in to flare it. Then the station didn't even bother to check that good.... So I prolly could have used them for the whole job. Also, IIRC AZ had them coated with black something for corrsion resistance. I had bought some at Advance and they weren't coated. Good Luck.

3/16" double wall steel lines....

What I've found so far (Gen II):
- The lines are double wall steel, 3/16" like mentioned.
- At the BV in back, it is a 5/16" fitting .... with a 3/16 Beveled flare (ISO Bubble)?? It's 3/16" line so I can't see it being anything other??? (Please correct me if I am wrong)
- At the PV up front, I'm not sure of the fitting size but will find out tomorrow night and let you know. It sure looks like the fitting in back but the head is practically flush with the PV so it is hard to tell without getting drenched in fluid.
EDIT: It isn't 5/16 - it's metric. I ramble on the other post if you are interested.
