Replaced the front rotors and pads over the weekend. Job not too bad other than having to beat the ever-loving **** out of the old rotors to get them off.

I did the bed-in procedure and have probably put about 50 miles on the new stuff. No vibration or noise, but the new pads just don't seem to bite as hard as the old ones. Pedal is firm and the car will stop fine, it just doesn't feel as strong now.

Is this something that will improve as the pads wear in longer? The pads are Motorcraft BRF1475 and the rotors are some O'Reilly premium non-drilled or slotted. I've probably done 50 brake jobs over the years and this is the first time I've ever had this happen.

Doesn't hurt to break them. I'm again..

I like several 60-10 very harsh but equal pressure stops. Then cruise for 30 mins to allow proper cooling... If they aren't smoking/smelling then push harder. Lol.
