I am the one who asked about warped rotors the other day and i have just one more question. I need to bed my new rotors with material from my new Hawk pads. Can i do this in the rain or should i wait till it clears up and the roads are dry. I just dont know if this will effect the process, thanks.

i dont think it should affect bedding in brakes. brakes work at such a high temp that the ambient temp should not matter (as far as rotor and pad surface temp) but if it is as bad as they say it it up in central cali, might as well wait. sit in and enjoy the dryness, its even raining in san diego!!!

There are several ways to bed the brakes. My favorite is back to back panic stops from about 90 MPH to get the rotors good and hot. So, I think the rain would be a really bad idea. I'm sure there are many different methods for the various types of pad. Both my 92 and 95 have the "standard" 96 SHO pads from ford.
