Ok so I started to install my borla catback system this afternoon. I am now to the point that only the mufflers are left to put on. The problem being is the hangers are not quite in the correct location. I know that a few people have installed the borla catback into a Gen 1 is there a trick I don't know about? There is one piece left over that I can't quite find a place for. It is about 4" long, and has a hole drilled into it. I snapped a few digital pictures but have no place to host them right now. If anyone can help me through this it would be a huge help.

BTW: It is to dark to work and starting to rain/drizzle so I will have to wait til tomorrow to get back to work. Provided or course the rain stops or better yet doesn't really get started (I havn't watched the news so i'm not sure)

EDIT: I can e-mail the pictures to anyone who wants them, but they don't show too much...
After reading my post I thought I'd give a little more info. The passenger side muffler is extremely close to the hanging bracket. There is about a 1" gap between the rubber hanger and the mufflers rod. The drivers side is a different story. There is no hanger on the car that is remotely close to the rod on the muffler. That side uses a metal strap that goes around the muffler and up to the hanger next the the gas tank. The strapping does not fit around the new muffler so I can't use that. I'll check back often... thanks in advance

email away [email protected] i think a strap from a chevy celeberty??? i think its a celeb anyway it should work. a longer strap you could also take the muffler to a local exhaust shop and p/u a strap or clamp on hanger for about 10 bucks or less depending on the shop. or coat hanger it up and drive to a MIDAS shop and have them weld a 2150 j hook on it for you. i will check my email in the morning around 6 eastern and then again around 8 pm. long work hours good luck Ken

Well I just took the pictures off the camera and they will offer NO help at all. It was already too dark out when I took them doh Anyways I think I will take it up to meineke. It would be easier that way... and if I can spend the money for the exhaust I guess I can eat a little more for a hook getting welded on.

And thanks for the pictures, but it is only the hangers nearest the bumper that I need help on and they can't be seen in your pictures.
