I was under my car today, with alot of the stuff off, (thanks to a blown diff)
when i looked up at my block. i noticed that it was Blue???? :omg: What gives? i dont think they cam blue from the factory.
its not a bright blue, its faded, but you can deffinetly tell its blue.
also, can someone post a pic of a 3.0 -3.2 block comparasion. i tried searching for it, but couldnt find it.

im freaked out alittle, because as much as i have been under there, i never noticed it before. i guess with the y-pipe out it is a little easier to see.
man i wish i could take some pics..... i will try to load them on my computer, but i dont think its gonna work....

Go to shotimes and search under 3.2 swap. They have exactly what you are looking for with detailed pictures and descriptions of the swap, what parts need to be used, mods to block and so on. Aaron

The correct color for the OEM engine is Ford Engine Gray available from Duplicolor in engine paint (high heat paint). Ford started using the gray in the early 1980s or late 1970s. Both the 3.0 Yamaha engine and the 3.2 liter engine came from the factory painted gray. rangerj

thats cool to know. thanks Ranger!
So i guess the PO did something.
i know it wasnt the guy i bought it from. but the PO from him only had the car for a short while. IIRC, from carfax. then the first owner, had it for awhile...

So i guess the Pre-PO, had the motor out? hmmm... maybe i should check some stuff out....
what could i look for? LPM, cams, i dont know.... im just throwing ideas out... and hoping that the Pre-PO did something like that... *fingers crossed*
****, he probably had it out just to replace the spark plugs.... thats why he got rid of it, he was like, dam if its that hard to change the spark plugs forget it, im selling it!!!

My power steering pump was Ford blue! I thought that was interesting.... But the rest of the motor is just rusty steel colored
