I have an annoying clicking from the blower motor on my 93 SHO. I read that the blower motor should be replaced. how hard is it to remove blower motor on my 93? I hope I don't have to pull dash to get it out. thanks. Pete

No need to take the dash out. I pulled one quite some time ago from my parts car. It was a bit of a pain. But I got it out. I am a bit fuzzy on the details. As far as I can remember it was quite straight forward when you get under there and get the covers off.

well, I did a search for this clicking problem and found out it might be blower module. so I opened the glove box and while it's clicking away, I hold the module. that was it! it was not the blower motor. I replaced module with a spare one I took out of my friends Taurus before he junked it. no more clicking, fan speed works properly.

The clicking noise is probably being generated by some paper or a leaf that was ingested by the fan. You can do a quick look at the fan suction side by using a mirror and light to look in the recirc intake at the far right side under the dash. Use your hand to cycle the recirc door open for the view. I'll bet that you find something stuck in the fan intake.

To access the fan motor, you need to drop the glove box and remove all of the sometimes hard to locate screws that hold the plastic panel on the front of the fan ducting. There are a number of wires and vent tubes that you must also remove to let the panel come free. Check the AutoZone.com Repair guide section to look for instructions to access the fan motor.
