I've got an 11 sho non pp
Every time I drive, after about 5min it pops up on the display "blind spot system fault" and the light on the driver's side mirror comes on. At first I thought "well, I'll never really trust it anyway, so I'll just turn it off". Which worked, fault message went away and mirror light turned off. But every time I drive it pops up again, I shut it off and it goes away, drive again it pops up..... Etc.
That being said. It is still under 50% warranty from the used lot where I bought it. But I bought it a week ago and right now Ford is doing a cam phaser under power train warranty.
I could take it to the used lot, once Ford of done with it, and have them fix it for 50%. But the lot is an hour away and who knows how long it will take them to fix it.
So, question is.
A. Is there a way to turn it off permanently?
B. Can I fix it easily myself?
I'd just hate to have to drive my rusty old truck for a month when I just bought such a nice piece of machinery.
