I cand hear my blend door doing the dreaded clicking, sometimes it will work with cold air and sometimes it's hot,my question is is there anyway to unhook a wire harness so it stays open for the summer so you can use the ac and then hook it back up so you have heat in the winter.I know the ultimate fate is to change the blend door actuator to completely fix the problem, but if there is an easy way to unhook a wire harness or a fuse I would appreciate any insight. My first post, what a great web sight.

If you unplug your blend door it will stay exactly where it's stuck. Say if it's stuck on heat (like mine) then you will have air blowing to the heater core.

The plug for the blend door on a Gen 2 is behind the glove box on the left side, it has about 6 or so wires coming out of it and I believe it's white. You can see it leading up to the top of the evaporator. I will take some pictues tommrow.

My plan is to find some kind of block off valve to block off the inlet side of the heater core. Something I can turn on when it's cold and turn off when it's hot.

to get to the harness, is real easy, drop the glovebox door, and look right behind , you will see the 3 connectors to the left side of the glovebox, the top one will be the Blend door actuator, the second one down should be the blower controller and the third one down should be the blower motor itself. Blend door actuator connector is white 8 pin connector with 7 wires running into it, the blower controller is a grey or black 4 pin connector, and the blower motor is a black 2 pin connector
