My co worker has an 95 SHO atx. He was going down the highway at 55mph, a car came up next to him and he punched it. Everything cut out on him, brakes, power sterring, engine, he couldnt start it up after it was on the side of the road!! What could be wrong? I was thinking a combanation faluire of the Vehicle speed sensor, and the Crank position sensor, and or the computer frying out.

Does the tach move when he's trying to start the engine? If not, almost definitely CPS.

He might be able to start it after it sits a while. He might want to check for any fluid under the car too. I'm wondering if when he 'punched it' if he blew a gasket and fried the CPS with coolant.

Does he still have electrical power? If it was that the engine cut out first, then the problem may be the CPS, but if the electrical power cut off everything first, then it may be a battery connection.
