Bi-Xenon Lightbulbs FX-R Projectors

Has anyone on this forum mounted the FX-R projectors to there headlight case?

I'm really interested in doing this, but need to know the details before moving forward with it.

For the price, FX-R's are one of the best bixenon set-ups out there. You'll be very happy with the results. I'm using that exact set-up for Gen 2 housings though.

Where did you end up buying yours at?

Did you have to custom fab your housing to make it fit?

The projectors I got from HID Planet. If you're not in a rush, they can be had for very cheap. I have a friend of mine doing the work (same person who did the retrofit into my Gen 3 housings).

Yeah, I spoke with someone earlier on TCCA about HID Planet.. unfortunately they do not sell anything anymore (I guess the recession hit them hard.. eh)

What exactly did you have to modify in your gen3 housing to get the projector's to fit?

FX-R IMHO are not as good as the tru FX but they are light years above other xenons out there. That being said I am currently rocking 3 retros using the FX-R lol. I have my current DD using just the fx, I have my old dd rocking just the FX , then i have my summer car. That utilizes TL low beams with ZKW lens and FX in the high beam slot. I have tons of money into my lighting setup.
