Read most threads on here about mounts, but saw alot of bickering between SSM and Anthony. I need the least NVH but do the job. Can you guys that have been down this road give me feedback on your experience with mounts and what worked best for you.

Not sure about SSM but AD definitely gives you NVH and the wife also complained about the "sound" in the cabin from it.
Good thing she doesn't drive it much, because it basically eliminated my wheel hop, I'm not going back!
thanks for all the info. After my E30 tune was loaded, I suffered my first wheel hop and it scared the **** out of me. So I've been playing nice with the car until I get this issue resolved.I've tested both, and while I know that SSM made some improvements after Anthony went elsewhere to source them, the reviews I've seen from them recently are still less than ideal.
I first ran the SSM mounts when Anthony first brought them to market. Some will argue that Anthony didn't design them, he just provided the lengths needed and SSM manufactured them using existing designs and processes, but when I received my first set of SSM mounts, I was honestly disgusted, both as a mechanical engineer and as an Automotive Industry business professional. The welds looked like they were laid with hot glue, the "powdercoating" was already flaking off before even removing them from the box (analysis from my chemicals team determined it was Krylon, NOT powdercoat), and they literally wobbled sitting on my desk. My engineering manager saw them sitting on my desk at work and questioned if my 5 year old put them together. When I installed them, I literally felt like my teeth were going to chatter out. Drove on them for a week, then pulled them. Took them to our elastomers lab and we had the hardness tested and found that they tested at a 90 Durometer, which is WAY too high for any direct link transmission component. To put it into perspective, ABS has a durometer of 80-100, you don't want that cushioning your transmission load.
I brought this up to Anthony, who took the findings back to SSM and they basically told him this is what they offered and that they've sold thousands of this design and it's proven up to 2000 hp, which is great if you drive your car for 1/4 mile a week and it never sees the street, but these bushings looked to actually be machined out of ABS block. We actually had to use a hydraulic press to get them out of the tubing, which also appeared to be cut with a bandsaw instead of a lathe, which was likely the cause for the "wobble."
I ended up reaching out to Energy Suspension and had some 70 durometer bushings made (an existing design shortened) based on the existing dimensions, and the ride quality was drastically improved while still having anti-hop and performance characteristics. I gave this information to Anthony, and he again reached out to SSM who wasn't interested. That's when he left them and took the design to another manufacturer which still makes the design today. I ended up selling my "hybrid" setup to another user that is still running them today, and I've been running the "Tony D Gen 2" anti-hop trans mounts for about 2 years now with no issues whatsoever. He's used my specified bushing in a tubular mount and I rarely hear of anyone having issues. There are a few customers occasionally that get false knock with a few select tuners, but it's typically based on knock sensor sensitivity for adaptive tunes but can easily be remedied with a tuning calibration.
The sound is one of the best attributes to the AD mounts! LOL.Not sure about SSM but AD definitely gives you NVH and the wife also complained about the "sound" in the cabin from it.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to get rid of it because it gives it a nice little growl, and I like it!The sound is one of the best attributes to the AD mounts! LOL.
Yes sir. The AD mounts are damn good. Between the fit, finish, and function...they deliver period.Yeah, I wouldn't want to get rid of it because it gives it a nice little growl, and I like it!
With being a 2018 I have just the one to replace, bought her 4 months ago, and now has 44,000 miles. Low ending idle hours when I got her, andIf you're experiencing NVH with either torque mount, I would suggest checking the engine and upper transmission mounts to see to see if they are shot.
with only one mount about a 1/8 beer job. will take you longer to find the 15mm wrench at best. With being a 2018 I have just the one to replace, bought her 4 months ago, and now has 44,000 miles. Low ending idle hours when I got her, and
a dealer once over found she was never tuned . Was good news for me that she wasnt beat on, just an unfortunate fender bender before I aquired her so I'm hopeful that raising idle, and allowing break in of at least 1,000 miles I won't have any issues. Mounts arrived today, "AD only sells as a set no matter year" , I'll install new mount tomorrow and see how it goes.
