I'm wondering what the best spring and strut combo is? I'm wanting the adjustable struts like Tokico Illuminas, and are the eibachs or Intrax better?

Some people love the stock setup. But others have different setups for daily driving and or racing. It all depends on what you really mean by "best setup" because that can mean for purpose and in many cases, even more so from a financial standpoint.

I have the Tokico/Moog setup, but can't really comment on it, since it's sitting in my garage waiting to be installed...I have heard good things about this setup in both ride (pretty stiff) and cost ($600)

Honestly, search the site for a whole slew of opinions, although I am sure some others will be entered here...

I hope you find what you are looking for!

I dont wanna go with the moog springs, I just dont like the idea of cutting springs, when they were built with ceartain specs and all. This would be for daily driving and auto cross.

Well, the Moogs with a coil cut is really no different than another performance spring...except that it is half the price...

They haven't chimed in, yet, but several other folks here in Texas have the Tokico/Moog springs with 1.5 coild cut from the front and 1 coil cut from the rear...As soon as I install them, I will certainly report on it!

I'm very curious as to your reply. I wonder where I could find the spring rates for the Eibach/Intrax/Moog CC's....

I wish Tokico Illuminas were available for SHO's but they are not; had them on my 240z and loved the setup for race and street. The standard Tokico's gas struts which are not adjustable are the only ones built for the SHO.

The illuminas are not available for the SHO, and with the way this market is going, they probably never will.

This topic has been hashed over and over and over again. The search function is not only there but one of the most useful and helpful things here on SHOforum.com

With that being said, If you want a decent ride, and good handling without the car being lowered all that much, please go with the Tokico/Eibach combo.

This is the standard performance setup for SHOs. It rides good, looks good but not too low, and is also very suitable for the race track.
Good luck!

Chris is right, the search function is quite an amazing feature.

To add on to what he said about the Tockio/Eibach set up. I love the way it rides and handles. It lowers it enough to be noticed, about 10 of my friends asked if I lowered my car, but not too low that you have to worry about scraping everywhere.
